Activist Stickers

Phi dreams of women's equality and these are some of those inspirational women. All the proceeds from each sale go to the Native Women's Association of Canada.

• Joni Mitchell - is a badass musician singer-songwriter from Saskatchewan who does her own thing and doesn't take shit.
• Buffy Saint Marie -  from Piapot First Nation in the Qu'Appelle Valley, Saskatchewan, Buffy Sainte-Marie is best known as a singer-songwriter and social activist. Inspirational for her combination of pacifism and fierce resolve, she is the founder of the Cradleboard Teaching Project which is an educational curriculum dedicated to the understanding of Native American culture and history. She is the first Indigenous winner of an Academy Award.
• Angela Davis-   an American professor, philosopher, activist and author, she is famous for her involvement in the civil rights and Black liberation movements, as well as for being an important advocate for prison abolition. Openly Communist, she is the author of many books on class, gender, race and criminal justice reform.
• Gloria Steinem-  American journalist & social-political activist & leader of the feminist movement since the 1960s. Co-founder of Ms.Magazine. Her work with Dorothy Pitman Hughes - a tireless advocate for universal childcare - and Wilma Mankiller - the first female Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation- worked to change, and continues to impact, women's rights and female empowerment worldwide.
• Masih Alinejad -  is an Iranian journalist, author and women's rights activist. Known for her tireless promotion of women's rights, freedom, and democracy in her native country, she now lives in exile in New York city. She continues to be a fearless advocate for the Woman Life Freedom movement.
• Mary Simon- born in Kangiqsualujjuaq Quebec, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary May Simon is Canada's 30th Governor General — the first Indigenous person ever to hold the position. An accomplished diplomat, she has held many important positions in Canadian government. A proud Inuk woman, Mary Simon praises Canadians' "selflessness" and vows to "bring people together." Her view is that "reconciliation is a way of life". You may address her as Your Excellency. 
• Wilma Pearl Mankiller- born in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, her name originates from the high military rank of her Cherokee ancestors. In 1985 she became the first female to be elected Principal Chief of the Cherokee Nation. She spent her remarkable life fighting for Native American rights and representation in government. Inspired by the social justice movements of the 1960s, she was close friends with Gloria Steinem. She is the author of many books, including an autobiography 'Mankiller: A Chief and Her People'. Upon her death in 2010 her achievements were recognized with America's highest civilian honor, the Presidential medal of Freedom.
• Autumn Peltier- born on Manitoulin Island on the Wiikwemkoong First Nation in Ontario, Autumn is an Anishinaabe water defender who began her fight for Indigenous Canadians’ right to clean drinking water when she was only eight years old. At only 13 years old, in 2018, she addressed the United Nations General Assembly on the issue of water protection. The recipient of countless awards for her advocacy, she works closely with The DreamCatcher Charitable Foundation to provide clean water access to First Nations communities. She is a strong believer in the role of women in water advocacy.
